The 61st Venice Biennale: Eternal & Contemporary
Venice, 17–20 September 2026
Guided by a leading art historian and curator
Group size: 8–10 participants
Price: €2,600 per person
The 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, titled In Minor Keys, marks one of the most anticipated moments in the contemporary art calendar. Conceived by the late curator Koyo Kouoh, this edition shifts attention away from grand narratives and heroic gestures, turning instead toward memory, intimacy, fragility, and quieter forms of resistance. It invites us to slow down and to listen to the world in its subtler, more nuanced tones.
Our programme combines an in-depth exploration of the Biennale and its most significant collateral exhibitions with a deeper immersion into Venice itself — a city where centuries of artistic achievement continue to shape contemporary cultural life. Alongside expert-led visits, we will discover hidden corners of Venice and experience the city not merely as a backdrop to the Biennale, but as one of the world's greatest works of art in its own right.

PROGRAMME
Day 1 — Thursday, 17 September
Venice, the Biennale and the City
Morning
  • We begin with an introductory session led by our accompanying art historian and curator, offering historical context on the Venice Biennale and an overview of this year's edition, including Koyo Kouoh's curatorial vision, key themes, and artists to watch.
  • We then proceed to the Giardini, the historic heart of the Biennale. Through its national pavilions, the Giardini provides a unique opportunity to explore how different countries and cultures approach contemporary artistic practice today.
Afternoon
  • A guided walk through Venice introduces the city's distinctive urban fabric — its canals, bridges, campi, and architectural layers accumulated over centuries. As the city transitions into evening, we experience Venice at its most atmospheric, discovering quieter routes beyond the main tourist flows.
Day 2 — Friday, 18 September
Parallel Programmes and Marina Abramović
Morning
  • Exploration of selected highlights from the Biennale's collateral programme.
  • At the Pinault Collection's Venetian venues — Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana — we visit major exhibitions by Lorna Simpson, Paulo Nazareth, Michael Armitage, and Amar Kanwar, artists whose practices engage with memory, identity, migration, and contemporary social realities.
  • We also visit Turandot: To the Daughters of the East at Palazzo Franchetti, a major exhibition exploring themes of cultural exchange, femininity, and representations of the East through contemporary artistic perspectives.
Afternoon
  • Visit to Marina Abramović's landmark exhibition Transforming Energy at the Gallerie dell'Accademia. Presented in one of Venice's most important museums, the exhibition examines energy, presence, transformation, and the relationship between performer and audience. It marks a significant moment both in Abramović's career and in the institution's history.
Day 3 — Saturday, 19 September
Modern Masters and the Arsenale
Morning
  • Visit to Fondazione Prada and the exhibition Helter Skelter: Arthur Jafa and Richard Prince, bringing together two of the most influential voices in contemporary American art.
  • We then enjoy a visit to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, one of the leading modern art museums in Venice, located in Peggy Guggenheim’s former residence on the Grand Canal.
Afternoon
  • Guided visit to the  Arsenale, the Biennale's principal exhibition venue. Housed within Venice's former shipbuilding complex, the Arsenale offers one of the most ambitious contemporary art experiences in the world. Here, the architecture itself becomes part of the exhibition, creating a dialogue between industrial history and contemporary artistic production.
Day 4 — Sunday, 20 September
Hidden Venice and Fondazione Dries Van Noten
Morning
  • Exploration of  Cannaregio, one of Venice's most authentic and atmospheric districts. Away from the busiest tourist routes, this neighbourhood reveals a more intimate side of the city, where local life unfolds among narrow canals, historic façades, and hidden courtyards.
Afternoon
  • Visit to Fondazione Dries Van Noten, one of Venice’s most talked-about new cultural institutions, and its exhibition The Only True Protest Is Beauty. Conceived by Dries Van Noten and Gert Bruloot, the exhibition examines craftsmanship as a powerful artistic language. Jewellery, design, fashion, photography, and material experimentation are brought into dialogue, challenging conventional disciplinary boundaries and celebrating the enduring relevance of beauty, making, and artistic excellence.
